Every summer, the fields above Rhossili on the Gower burst into colour as Rhossili Sunflowers comes into bloom, giving families the chance to pick your own sunflowers Gower has become known for, and it’s fast become one of the most photographed spots on the coast.

Grown across land cared for by local farmer Rob Morgan of Gower Fresh Christmas Trees, alongside a National Trust restoration project, the site now stretches to around eight acres and includes ten sunflower varieties, plus dahlias, cosmos and a July-only lavender field.

Families can wander a nature trail spotting hidden Paddington, Pooh Bear and horse sculptures, walk through sunflower and dog-friendly arches, or pick their own stems to take home. With Worm’s Head as a backdrop, it’s easy to see why Rhossili Sunflowers draws visitors back year after year.

Rhossili Sunflowers sits on the Gower coast near Worm’s Head. Park at the National Trust car park (postcode SA3 1PR), then follow the gravel coastal path for around 20 minutes to reach the fields. The path is uneven in places, so buggies and wheelchairs may find it tricky.

Prices and opening times

Rhossili Sunflowers opens from 13 July 2026, daily from 10am to 7pm, weather permitting (later on clear sunset evenings, or closing at 6pm if it’s wet). Entry costs £5 for visitors aged 12 and over, £4 for under 12s, and children in buggies or being carried go free.

Payment is taken on the gate by card or cash, though it’s worth bringing cash as the card signal can be patchy out on the coast. Pick-your-own sunflower stems cost £1.50 each, wildflower bunches are £8, and freshly picked dahlias are £1 a stem (or available to pre-order).

Entry also includes the nature trail, where families can hunt for hidden animal sculptures and collect stamps along the way.

Can I bring my dog? ▼

Yes, dogs are welcome on a lead. On hot days it's best to leave them at home, as there's little shade and limited access to water on site.

Yes, there's a new café this year serving hot food, drinks and refreshments.

Are there toilets on site? ▼

No. The last toilet stop is at the National Trust car park before you set off on the walk to the fields.

Is there transport for blue badge holders or mobility scooters? ▼

No, there isn't. It's a 20 minute walk from the car park along a clearly signposted gravel coastal path. Wheelchair users should manage fine once at the fields, though the path can be bumpy in places.
