Colour Run Spooky at Pembrey

Colour Run Spooky at Pembrey brings a non-competitive, family friendly 5K to Pembrey Country Park this Halloween. Runners, joggers and walkers make their way around a lap-based course, passing through colour stations where safe, biodegradable powder paint gets thrown at every checkpoint.

The route is split into four 1.25k laps, so everyone can choose how far to go, whether that’s one lap or the full 5K. Fancy dress is encouraged, think spooky costumes and bright colours, and every participant gets an event t-shirt, race bib, colour powder pack and a Spooky Finisher’s Medal.

There’s music and a lively atmosphere throughout, building to a colourful finish line celebration. Wash stations are on hand along the course, and sunglasses are a good shout for comfort.

About the Venue

Pembrey Country Park is one of Wales’s top visitor attractions, combining coast and countryside on one site near Burry Port, Carmarthenshire. With 500 acres of woodland and eight miles of golden sands at Cefn Sands, plus a visitor centre, play area, cycle hire and café, it’s easy to get to and good value for a full family day out.

There’s a park parking fee to pay additional to event entry fees.  Run entry costs £17.99 for children aged 5 to 11, and £24.99 for anyone aged 12 and over. Booking is done in advance on Aspirex Events website. Registration opens at 10.30am and closes at 11.45am, with the run starting at 12pm, so it’s worth arriving early to avoid queues. Booker’s photo ID is needed at registration, and you can’t register on behalf of someone else, so make sure everyone in your group brings ID.
