The Nutcracker Ballet at Lyric

The Nutcracker Ballet at Lyric follows young Marie as her toy nutcracker turns into a prince, sweeping her into a snowy land full of magical battles and the sparkling Kingdom of Sweets.

Performed by Crown Ballet to Tchaikovsky’s much-loved score, it’s a classic festive tale brought to life with real dancers, beautiful costumes and a full orchestral feel to the music. This year marks Crown Ballet’s 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of touring classical ballet across the UK and bringing much-loved stories to new audiences with international dancers and impressive stage sets.

It’s a lovely introduction to ballet for children and a treat for anyone who loves a bit of festive sparkle, whatever their age. The Nutcracker Ballet at Lyric is one for the whole family to enjoy together.

About the Venue

The Lyric Theatre is a traditional art-deco venue on King Street in the centre of Carmarthen, seating 593. It’s an easy walk from car parks, the bus and train stations, with a ground floor kiosk, first-floor bar and accessible toilets on both levels.

Pricing & Booking

Tickets cost £32.50 full price, with concessions at £30.50 for over 60s, registered unemployed and students. Children aged 6 and under can go for £23.50. Tickets can be booked through the Lyric Theatre box office or online, and as this is a popular touring production, it’s worth booking ahead to get the best seats. St Peters car park is just a minute’s walk away if you’re driving in, making it easy to get to for families travelling from across Carmarthenshire and beyond.
