Storytelling at Margam Park brings a summer of themed tales to life inside the Castle, with story sessions running on several dates throughout the school holidays.
Tuesday 28th July – Wizards and Whimsical Tales. Step into a world where magic feels alive and every character has a story waiting to unfold, meeting mischievous witches, wise (and sometimes unpredictable) wizards and whimsical characters who blur the line between imagination and reality. Meet in the Castle, with sessions at 11.30, 1.30 and 2.30.
Wednesday 29th July – A Tangled Storytime. Join the tower princess and her prince for a story time adventure in the Castle. Sessions run at 11.30, 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30, each lasting around thirty minutes.
Thursday 30th July – Tales of High Summer. Storyteller Owen Staton, host of the Time Between Times podcast, explores tales of high adventure and magic as the sun shines, bringing great heroes and fearsome monsters back to life. Suitable for ages seven and up. Meet in the Castle, with sessions at 11.30, 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30.
Thursday 6th August – A Royal Adventure Awaits. Story time with the princesses, sharing enchanting tales in both Welsh and English, complete with glitter, song and dance. In the Castle, with sessions at 11.30, 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30, each lasting around thirty minutes.
Wednesday 19th August – Fairies & Mermaids. A magical undersea storytime adventure, with tales told in both Welsh and English and plenty of glitter, laughter and favourite songs along the way. In the Castle, with sessions at 11.30, 12.30, 1.30 and 2.30, each lasting around thirty minutes.
Tuesday 25th August – Wizards and Whimsical Tales. The wizards and whimsical characters return for one more storytelling session, meeting in the Castle at 11.30, 1.30 and 2.30.

Storytelling at Margam Park is free to attend, with sessions running several times a day at each date, so there’s a good chance of catching one whatever time you arrive. It’s suitable for all ages, though Tales of High Summer is best suited to children aged seven and over given the subject matter. With no need to book ahead, it’s an easy way to add a bit of magic to a day out at the park during the school summer holidays.
