Archery at Margam Park

Archery at Margam Park gives children and families the chance to have a go with a bow and arrow, run by the friendly team at Margam Archery Club. Sessions take place at the BBQ site at the rear of the Castle, a relaxed spot that’s easy to find once you’re in the grounds.

It’s a drop-in style event, so there’s no need to book ahead, you simply turn up during the session times and join in when you’re ready. Everyone gets a go regardless of experience, with the club on hand to show beginners the basics before they pick up a bow for the first time.

It’s a nice way to try something a bit different during a day out at the park, and works well alongside exploring the wider grounds. Archery at Margam Park runs every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the school summer holidays, giving families plenty of chances to fit in a visit across the break, whether that’s a first attempt or a return trip to build on what they’ve learned.

Prices

Archery at Margam Park costs just £1 for three arrows, and cash is the only payment method accepted on the day, so it’s worth bringing a bit of change along. Sessions run from 11am to 3pm each day, and it’s suitable for all ages, making it an easy add-on for families already spending the day at the park.
